Senate Receives Report on Russian Meddling
And it’s a muddled mess.
Facebook and other platforms supplied incomplete data. Many of the internet giants just didn’t care whether or not Russia was meddling in the election when speculation first started surfacing.
Then there was the bumbling Russians. They left logs on the servers indicating that many of the accounts used for meddling were Russia based. Some of the ads were even purchased in Rubles.
One thing the report is clear about: Russians definitely interfered to assist Donald Trump in becoming President. The report does not speculate on whether or not that help was requested by Trump or his associates.
Cord Cutters Rejoice
CBS is pioneering local news reporting on the internet with its newly launched CBSN New York. The digital-only news channel will allow people from around the world to stay up-to-date with local happenings.
This is good news for people who don’t spend much time in front of a regular TV and former New Yorkers who’ve left the area.

Mountain View, Cali Going Middle Class
Google’s California home has been inaccessible to average, middle class Americans for more than a decade, and the government has been unable or unwilling to assist in creating affordable housing.
Now, Google has made a move to solve the problem themselves with 8,000 new residential units. 20 percent, or 1600 of these would be considered affordable housing.
The plan’s not guaranteed, local officials still have to approve the plan, and it may not solve the crisis, but it seems like a step in the right direction.
